What a crazy busy weekend the 4th had in store for us!


I am so glad we went to the Celebration on post with our friends. I really considered staying home since MD's little brother's anxiety can get the best of him at events like this. We went, They whined throughout the Soldier Show, MD fell asleep for the fireworks and I still had a blast. MD slept in the stroller and I wore Baby Diva in our Tula.

If you have an infant and you don't have a Tula you need one, ha! I have never baby wore before we had baby diva and I'm certainly not one that is all "OH THE CONNECTION YOU WILL HAVE" I simply do it because it makes my life 125% easier! I can hold my baby with no hands! GENIUS. Plus, she really does love it. If she's crabby and fighting sleep I have a solution! On rare occasion we've even used it with MD's 3 year old brother. Like after the fireworks. It was WAY past bedtime, there were hundreds of people and he was not in the best of moods. His daddy wore him on his back and we were able to walk much faster back to the car :)

We went to the local communities celebration on the actual 4th after a BBQ with some of my
husbands coworkers. I'm always apprehensive of get togethers with his coworkers. There are all types out there ya know, ha! But we had a good time and it was nice to meet some of the people we hear about. The firework show in the community was actually not as great as the one on post but it was another fun outing with friends that we enjoyed.

Happy 4th, Divas!

Our family is looking forward to a great rest of the week! We've got the post Independence Day celebration on the 2nd as well as my husband and I's Anniversary, of course the 4th and then we have our friends we made while my husband was in training visiting the 5th!

The girls and I had a free afternoon and decided to do a few quick photos for their dad! I can't wait to get MD's little brother home to try and get a matching one of him, too!

 

Diva Delivery-Again

My mornings while MD's daddy is gone are chaos! Getting the three littles up, dressed and ready for the day and making it on time to MD's little brothers school is not an easy task and I always forget something it seems! 

The other morning was especially trying! MD's little brother is NOT a morning person! If I can't get him out of bed on the right note I can guarantee we will have an epic sensory meltdown. Sure enough we did. To the point I had to haul him to the car kicking and screaming and kneel on him to buckle him in the car. 

Once we made it to school he was perfect and ready to go! When we get there I usually leave the car on and AC running since it's been in the high 90's and today was no different...except my car doors locked after I shut my door! WTH!!! MD's little brother had pulled his handle locking the doors! I asked a parent that had just pulled up if they would have the director call the MP station to send someone. 

MD's little brother is 3 and in a 5 point harness car seat yet so he was unable to unbuckle. He was however watching his DVD, sipping his water bottle and enjoying the AC while I was standing in the heat, haha! 

20 minutes later here comes the firetruck lights on and sirens blaring. Fantastic LOL! 

They got him out in minutes and we were on our way! I must say they were all incredibly nice and offered to show him the truck, ha!  All before 9am ;) 

Another day, Another braid!

MD's daddy is gone, her brother is home from school (he didn't sleep at all last night) and I'm fairly certain I have a sinus infection(my face is swollen and around my eyes...legit black and yellow?!??) so the kids and I are having a lazy day! 

After non-existent nap time I told MD I'd do her hair since she's pretty bored of entertaining herself. We tried another cute style we found at http://www.cutegirlshairstyles.com ! It turned out great, MD loves the "flower" and best of all took about 5 minutes!! 

Barbie's lookin a hot mess?

Alright ladies...

If you are a control freak like me you hate even seeing your daughter TOUCH barbies hair, let alone try and brush it! 

But, I turn away and let MD have at it. I mean, that's why we got them... So she could play with them! 

Then the heavens opened up and I learned how to fix Barbies hair! A tiny bit of fabric softener on the Barbie brush is literally all it takes! I was beyond excited about this!

We put her hair in a big top knot since she was going to a ball, but before this she looked like a lion with mange!

The sizes run a bit small, which they state on the site and give you a sizing chart to use. We ordered the dress according to the sizing chart and it fits MD perfect with the exception of the length, which is always a problem for this girl. Nothing a good pair of leggings couldn't fix!

The hats got a bit bent out of shape on their way to us as they were just mailed in an envelope with no paper or anything to help keep the form. I was a bit sad about that since they are SO ADORABLE and really nice quality! We worked this one a little and it seems to have made a recovery ;)

We love our items and loved the prices on them even more! The details on the dress are amazing! With the way this MD is growing, We're buying her new clothes every couple of months!
